Gill really doesn't fit, unless they plan on losing a guy or two via waivers, when they pare the bunch down to get under the cap to fully utilize the Pronger LTIR exemption.

The Flyers have the top 4 slots locked up. Kimmo Timonen, Luke Schenn, Mark Streit and Braydon Coburn. The third pair will be some combination of Nik Grossmann, Erik Gustafsson and Andrej Meszaros, unless amazingly, the Flyers can get somebody to take Meszaros' contract in a trade or via waivers.

They also have Bruno Gervais and Marc_andre Bourdon on one way deals and neither is waivers exempt. Bourdon isn't cleared to play after dealing with long term PCS issues, and Gervais is pretty much just a bubble guy.

Even if the Flyers send Gervais and Bourdon to the AHL, they'll still have no real spot for Gill, unless they can move one of the other guys out.
